The Upper National Bodies, which report directly to the Supreme Council, are:

  • the National Sublime Grand Consistory,
  • the National Sovereign Tribunal. The National Sublime Grand Consistory is delegated to safeguard Masonic Rituals and to preserve the doctrine, as well as to perform consultative, research and cultural duties.

The bodies of the National Sublime Grand Consistory are:

  • the National Assembly, which brings together all the members of the National Sublime Grand Consistory to deal with matters referred by the Supreme Council;
  • the Consistorial Council examines and studies the Rituals in order to bring amendments deemed necessary to the attention of Supreme Council;
  • the Regional Consistorial Sections operate as peripheral bodies through which the National Sublime Grand Consistory performs its duties within the Masonic Regions.

The National Sublime Grand Consistory is based at the Supreme Council and comprises all Brothers who have been conferred 33° and 32° Degrees and reside within the territory of the Italian Jurisdiction.

The National Sovereign Tribunal is the overall body for ritual Masonic justice which, via Brothers of the 31° Degree, oversees observance of the duties of each Degree by the Ritual Bodies and Scottish Rite Brethern of a lower Degree.

The bodies of the Sovereign National Tribunal are:

  • the General Assembly, which brings together all Brothers from the 33°, 32° and 31° Degrees who reside in the territory of the Italian Jurisdiction, to deal with matters referred by the Supreme Council;
  • the Central Committee performs Masonic justice duties for which the Sovereign National Tribunal is responsible;
  • the Regional Sections operate as peripheral bodies through which the National Sovereign Tribunal performs its duties within the Masonic Regions.
